The family of Farm Bureau insurance companies was founded in 1946 to provide rural, agriculture-based families competitively priced insurance policies, exceptional customer service, and fast claims response by local agents. Today, Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company maintains a network of over 4,000 agents offering life, home, and auto insurance, as well as retirement and estate planning in a ten-state footprint. Facing larger competitors with massive marketing campaigns touting discount insurance, Farm Bureau Insurance needed to arm its agents with a fresh brand message and versatile marketing tools. Mad Genius developed the Get Real campaign to emphasize the value of getting real service and real responsiveness from agents who know your community. The campaign launched in 2009 with TV, print, radio, outdoor, web, and viral marketing, plus support materials for the company’s NASCAR sponsorship. Mad Genius also built a new web enabled toolkit to allow all agents to access and automatically personalize Get Real marketing tools.
