Faced with the challenges of a full-scale merger of two healthcare facilities on the outskirts of Dallas, Health Management Associates approached Mad Genius to rebrand Mesquite Community Hospital and Medical Center of Mesquite. The merger involved an organizational transformation as well as new strategic positioning in the market. Informed by insights gleaned from in-depth market research, we recommended a new focus on a more holistic brand of care. Our premise: People expect modern hospitals to emphasize the latest medical technology. What they don’t expect is an equal emphasis on tender compassion from an empathic caregiver. Mad Genius recommended a new name and slogan: "Dallas Regional Medical Center. HealthCare — we do both."
